If you are new to yoga, I invite you to have an open heart. There is always that first time when we feel the butterflies in the stomach because we are about to do something we have never done before. Coming to a yoga class is a great step in your Self-Care & Wellness journey.
No experience is needed for restorative and therapeutic. The sessions are for all levels.
Our flow class does require experience.
Comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. T-shirts, shorts, leggings, tank top.
No shoes.
For flow classes I recommend no socks or use grip socks. Regular socks may slip on your mat.
For restorative yoga, layers recommended, long sleeve, socks and an eye pillow.
Your own yoga mat, a bottle of water and an open heart to receive.
Movement, breathing, relaxation, calmness and silence. For Urban Zen Integrative Therapy sessions: Essential Oils and Reiki.
At your arrival, before entering the studio, please remove your shoes and place them on the shoe rack or in one of the cubbies inside the studio. You may greet your fellow yogis with respect and lay your mat on the floor mindfully. Grab 2 blocks, two blankets, a strap and be sure to mention any injury to the teacher before the class begins.
1. Refrain from eating anything heavy approximately 2 hours before class (have a light snack if necessary).
2. You may bring a bottle of water.
3. Arrive 15 minutes early for your first class to fill out necessary paperwork, familiarize yourself with the studio and meet your instructor.
4. Please ensure to turn your cell phone off or set it in silent mode.
5. No gum or other distractions while taking a class.
6. Please arrive to class on time.
7. Please avoid wearing heavy perfume or cologne for people's sensitivities.
